lectio divina

Lectio divina directly translated means 'spiritual reading.' This is very deliberate method of reading for a spiritual life. It is a meditative approach whereas the person seeks to savor and taste the beauty and truth within every phrase and passage.  A contemplative process, enkindling the person reading towards compunction for past behaviors at the same time seeing and seeking the beauty and truth, to find the unspoiled.

Steps:

  • Read, deliberately and deeply
  • Meditate, "What did you read and what was to meant to say to you?"
  • Rest in the sense of God's nearness
  • Resolve to govern one's actions in light of the new understanding

English As Our National Unity

The first plank of unity goes back to early nationalized education in 1909 when English was begining to be taught as our national language due to the flooding in from all over Europe and Asia of immigrants in that era. Since then, in education, the term "cultural pluralism" has come about and modern 21st century educators have been trying to erase the old laws by their having access to the mind. Our early legislators knew well that no nation can stand without a wide and common base.

Should English be our national language by law as it is in many states already?

If "Yes" is your answer then consider this option: http://www.proenglish.org/index.html
